Auto Draft with Milestone Progress Installments

While creating a milestone progress installments? It looks like we don’t have the option to allow “auto draft” from customer cards like we could with reoccurring payments. Is this something Square is working on in a future release?

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

I think you're referring to the payment installment/milestone feature with Square Invoices.

You can still use card on file for this. You'll just have to make sure that the customer you add to the invoice already has a card on file, or that you switch the invoice method after they've saved their card on file. The option to Charge Card Ending in 0000 will only make itself available on the invoice after the card has been saved. I've included an image of where you select the invoice method after you've set up the payment schedule and saved the card on file. The invoice method can be edited after already creating the invoice.

The option to allow the customer to save their card on file is also still an option with payment installments/milestones:
