Need help Organizing my item list, Thougts?

We are a small batch soap and other good company. I am having a hard time figuring out hot to organize my items. Below is what I currently have:

Category - "Car Scents" > Item - "Lg Scent" > Variation - "Scent, Shape"

This makes my list long, and then when I try to move it to the website it does not look very nice.

What I think want is :

Category - "Car Scents" > Item - "Lg Scent" > Variation - "Scent" > Sub Variation - "Shape"

But this is not posable in square at this time.

Is there a better way?

Thanks for writing in with this question!

Sub-variations aren't an option at the moment, but it would be helpful to get an example of your items to advise. A possible workaround could be to specify the shape in the item name. For example, your item name would be "Large tree-shaped car scent" under the Category "Car Scents" and so on. I'd also encourage you to not shy away from creating multiple items. It can be more confusing to have one item with dozens of options. Having three or four items with a shorter list of options makes can make your item offering easier to navigate. @Arie Thanks for the feedback, a little background.

Most of the Business is created and sold by my wife and 4 Kids (13 and Under). I am just the Saint partner, data enterer, and IT support 🙂

Here is what I would Like to do

Category - "Car Scents" > Item Name - "Lg Car Scents" > Variation - "Scent" > Sub Variation - "Shape"

What I think I am Going to have to do:

Category - "Car Scents" > Item Name - "Scents" > Variation - "Shape"

Thoughts?
