Option to categorize sales?

Is there a way to categorize the sales made in square? We run a video production company and would like to know how much work we complete in each industry. So, if there was an option to classify that sale to a specific industry or tag that would be really helpful. Anything remotely like that in square?

I can help with that.

There isn't a way to categorize the whole sale, but as long as the items sold within the purchase are categorized, you can pull a Category Sales Report from Dashboard (found under Reports > Sales > Category Sales).

I would like to categorize payouts. I can get the amounts but not the description of the payout. Why does it ask me what they are for if I can't document them?

That is not what I asked. I want to do a report on pay outs from my daily report
