How do I print receipts from Square for Retail?

We recently switched over to square for retail and receipts are not an option only text and email so if the customer wants one we have to open the other app to print one!

Hmmmm. Printed receipts is definitely a functionality that comes with Square for Retail.

Please take a look at how to set up hardware (including a printer) with the Square for Retail app in this article. Once the printer is successfully connected to the Square for Retail app, you will see the option to print a receipt again.

You can create a printer station from the Retail app to limit which printers connect to specific points of sale.

To get started:

Tab the three horizontal lines to bring up the Navigation menu.
Select Settings > Printers.
Tap Create Printer Station.
Name your printer (for example, “Front Register”), enable Receipts, Bills, Reports, Open Cash Drawers, and choose to Automatically Print Receipts.
Tap Save.
