2 POS..Needing to talk to Bar Printer

I have 2 POS running iPads, and they both communicate with the kitchen printer(ethernet), but I cannot get the dining room pos to send "drink orders" to the bar printer. I'm guessing I need an Ethernet printer that is inkless? I have a usb printer connected to the bar POS, but it wont accept orders from the servers, only the bar tenders at the Bar POS. Please confirm I am thinking correctly.

Hey @FOG -

From what you describe - it sounds like the Bar POS is only accepting orders entered by the bartenders because that is the only device it is connected to.

The other iPads you have printer stations set up on them, so that it why both can print to your kitchen printer.

Using another ethernet or even a bluetooth printer will help alleviate the connection issue you're seeing.

Please let me know if that doesn't do the trick!

I have the same problem. Tech support blamed it on the terminals and sent me new ones. But I had to send the old ones back in very very short period. This has been in going since May 2021. New terminal's still do not print to bar. My own ipad does. I asked to send me iPads in swap for terminals. But they said warranty is up. But this discussion started almost immediately when I purchased. NOT HAPPPY WITH SQUARE PERIOD! An entire season not printing to bar. COME ON MAN!

Been there done that. Nothing has worked. I want to get rid of the terminals for a refund or exchange for ipads. They don't even reply to me anymore.
