sales summary report and exporting cash and credit totals

I am running the Sales Summary to reconcile items. I love how it is able to be exported to excel (grant it through numbers by that's fine).

What I don't like is each row that shows up on the report does not download. Below Total Collected, the report lists the following rows which do not download: Cash, Card, Gift Card, Other. When downloaded the report jumps from Total Collected to Fees.

What am I doing wrong? I want to have the breakdown, in excel, between cash and card for each day.

Welcome back to the Community, @Bodacious -

You aren't doing anything wrong - this is how that particular report is downloaded. If you want more detail, look into download the transaction history for that time period instead.

It's a similar process to the Sales Report.

The only problem with that report is that it breaks down every transaction and does not display it as a daily summary. I would love a report that was a CSV file that showed:

Total Sales:

Cash Sales:

Credit card sales:

Fee:

Taxes:

Deposit amount:

But no report has these that can be downloaded.

The report you tell us about lists EVERY transaction for a day.

The Summary report is available right on the Square dashboard as SALES SUMMARY and shows export but as stated does not export what is displayed.....Why ????
