Can I use the square terminal for tap, swipe and tap and the virtual terminal for cards on file? And can I print receipts from virtual terminal to square terminal

The Virtual Terminal is designed to be a simple payment portal for manually entered transactions. While the Virtual Terminal can not connect with most hardware or printers, it does have capabilties to use a regular Magstripe Reader for swiped payments.

In regards to your question surrounding printing, while the Virtual Terminal cannot connect to a receipt printer, all transactons from the VT will be viewable on other Square devices (such as the Square Terminal mentioned in your post) where you can manually print a physical copy of your receipt.
