Square for Restaurants: How can I turn off the assigned seat numbers?

I like the seat number feature personally but it isn't necessary in my place. Is there a way to turn it off?

Yep, you can turn this off, @Scott9!

You'll start by heading to your Square Dashboard, then clicking your Points of Sale button. Here you'll be able to select the device you want to edit. One you're on the edit screen, scroll down to the Seating section - toggle off the Track Seating option, then click Save in the top right-hand corner.
