&lt;P&gt;They will need some information from you and the seller that is taking over your business.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>How are sales from plastic gift cards recorded?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have recently sold my business.&amp;nbsp; I have $1507 in outstanding gift cards (many were comped and given out as donations to local schools but not all of them). Is there a way I can transfer the cards with open businesses to the new square account of the new owners?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When I purchased the business I was left to deal with many customers who had gift cards from the previous owners and I was eating the comps and costs of these cards having never received payment.&amp;nbsp; Is there a work around for this or are gift card holders up the creek?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
