The state of Vermont (and several other states) no longer ask for an employee's gender. As such, I should no longer be required by square to misgender my employees. Furthermore when I simply leave it blank it pops up in big letters "please provide a VALID gender." This may seem like a small issue to some, however it is very important to me that all my employees, coworkers, and community members feel comfortable.
