How do I set up an automatic discount were if you buy $100 you get an item free?

Do you have an item in mind that you would give free?

I have an automatic discount for a Bakers dozen of our candles.

The 13th one has an automatic discount of the cost of one of the candles.

Usually the one that is first in the category that they purchased not necessarily the 13th Candle or item.

If you know what item you want to give Free, you could create a discount that removes the price of the item.

I give out a Free votive just for stopping in with a coupon. We do not scan the coupon, but ring up a votive at $1.59 and then select discount of $1.59 Free Votive

this takes out the item from inventory and gives it free.

So if you know what your giving out you could create the discount Free Item with $100 purchase,

Scan the item to take it out of inventory

then Select discount You created for the $ amount of the Item and Create Discount called Free 'widget'
