How to see name of buyer on transactions

I'm new to Square, I have a small violin lesson business and people pay a registration fee using square. It's important that I be able to view the person's NAME in a list of paid invoices. I "Transactions" button, but that doesn't give me their family or student name. I'd like to be able to see which students have paid in a glance. How can view these names on the transactions?

Hello @Violinbear.

While you can see the name of the person that paid for the invoice under your transactions tab if you click on the transaction itself, the only other way to track who that charge was for (in this case your student) is by adding notes at the time of the transaction or when you create an invoice.

When processing a transaction, here is how you can add a note:

From your current sale, tap Current Sale at the top of the screen.
Tap an item or custom amount to add notes.
Select the back arrow to save the note and return to the current sale.
