Facebook data feed update

Hi,

it seems like a Facebook question but isn’t there a way on Square to push the item database to FB? I know I saw an option to manage the catalog and force the update on the FB Business Extension installer but you can’t get that far in the process after you already connected your Square shop...

My issue is there are items that I had in Square that I had to delete to be able to sell on FB/IG and after I reset everything and synched my catalog it didn’t have the items I didn’t want anymore but it showed items that have deleted for a while and I can tell the data feed is most recent and I know these items are gone from Square...

Great question, and welcome to Seller Community, @CandP!

If you edit your catalog on Facebook, are you able to remove those items from your Facebook catalog? I'm guessing that syncing only adds or updates items and doesn't cause deletions.

I haven't tried since FB clearly says the source data (Square) has priority and sends the updated feed and rewrites most changes made on FB, which makes sense when you think of it.

That does make sense, although I'm wondering if we don't send deletions and only send additions and changes.
