How to do a "auto" discount

Hey all,

was wondering if anybody found a work around for this - I give a combo discount to my customers if they add a drink and chips to their meal. I have it set up so I have to manually go in and input the discount. What I would really like is for it to automatically add the discount when the chips AND drink are added to the ticket. so a discount that the perimeters are buy x AND y and the discount is then added. Right now the way the system is set if I put in the chips as one catagory and drinks as another it will do a discount for each, which does not work as it applies it to the single item not because of both. Anybody know of a work around?

Could you create a meal category? I know there was a way to create a discount that auto applied to categories and this would possibly work for that.
