How do I schedule split shifts?

Checking out the new scheduling feature...I can't figure out how to schedule a 10-2, 5-9 for the same person.

Split shifts

I know there is a down arrow that seems to be so you can add split shifts, but when i try to save the 2md shift for a team member, it gives me an error stating that they already have a shift.

The shifts do not overlap and in some cases it is for a different job title, but it will not let me save no matter what I try
