Lookup gift card from customer's phone number

The eGift Card purchase confirmation email instruction tells my customers to assign their phone number to their eGift Card so they can just give their phone number to the cashier to pay for items with credits from their Gift Card. Nowhere can I find information to train my cashier how to look up the customer's Gift Card from their phone number! On the device it only asks for the 16 digit code. Has anyone figured out how to lookup gift card from the customers phone number???

Hey @eric7186

If you're using Square POS on iOS, you would have to enable the Payment Type called "Customer Card on File"

You can do this in Settings - Checkout - Payment Types - Customer Card on File

Then when you're ringing up the customer, your cashier would tap on Card on File as a payment option, and then search by the customer's phone number, and that Gift Card should show up with a Charge Button next to it
