Maximum number of PRE-ORDERS

Is it possible to set a maximum number of items available for a pre-order item? I see there is a cut-off DATE, but if I only want to take a certain number of pre-orders during that time, do I just make that note in my inventory count or will customers still be able to continue ordering if the cut-off date has not been reached yet?

This is a great question!

Right now, there isn't a way to limit how many items can be sold for pre-ordered items. I can definitely see how useful this would be, especially if you can only handle a certain amount of orders as a small business.

This could currently be considered a feature request, which you can submit here - like this we can track interest if other sellers are also looking for a limit on pre-orders. Please include some more detail about how you'd like to see this feature work, and how you'd use it in your business' day-to-day. We appreciate you sharing these suggestions and improvements with us 🙂
