How to label "Other" transaction with payment method?

How do you add a payment method instead of listing it under other? I have customers that use Things like Zelle, Venmo, as well as checks.

Heya @ArchLandscaping,

I think I understand what you're asking here. There's not a way to add in transactions and label the "Other" transactions at this time.

Once you export your report, you can add that information in manually but there's not a way to do it on the app like you're looking to do here.

Hi, I'd love to use Square POS. What's holding me back is the ability to Mark my sale payment as Venmo or Zelle (or other app). I don't need an integration to it, I just need it to say "Other - VENMO" or "Other - Zelle".

Any idea how to make this work?

Does Square have any intentions on creating an "Other payment" option that is customizable? Currently we accept 9 forms of payments, 5 of which are government assistance food programs. When checking out we have to select "Other Payment" and then use paper and pen to record for each category. The reporting functions on square are great, but it barely shows any realistic stats because almost everything is recorded as other and not actually payment specific. If Square is not intending to make a customizable payment option in the near future then we need to find a different provider.

agreed we need this as well

I need to sort the "other" payment types too in reporting.
