Is there a way to add a note section to an item, so a customer can customize on the site?

I think I am missing something, Is this not an option available for items? I would hate to have to manually create an invoice just to get a customer's order correct for producing customized merchandise since it is the bulk of my business.

HI, you can capture text with a Modifier by adding a text box to the item.

Have you figured out a way to add the note section to an item? When I go into MODIFIERS there is no option to make it a text field.
