How do I delete a "service item" in Appointments?

How do I delete a "service item" in Appointments?

I've been using POS for hair services for years. I'm now in need of new booking software so I wanted to try out Appointments.

transitioning is not making sense to me. so I need to move over all the items into service items? I experimented by trying to add new service items and now I cannot delete them I see no delete or red button or trash can anywhere in the window. what am I missing here? help pls. thanks

Items

Service Library

Select the service you want to delete

A button with the word "delete" is in red in the upper right corner

thank you @Swoodsy for your reply!

It was actually a variable within the service item I was trying to delete.

When I was in the dashboard, the service revealing its drop down variables, the delete button wasn't there. I finally figured out that I needed to have clicked into the edit service window( as you mention), then I could see the delete button and the 3 dots to the right of the prices where I could in turn find the delete for the variable. doh!
