How can we sell an item and accept a donation?

I am running into a catch-22 which is so frustrating. I need to be able to sell mulch with a delivery address to be entered as well as allow donations with a custom amount. All is fine until I go to check out and am told you can't do those at the same time. So how do I have a custom amount item, get a physical address and do that in the same transaction?

Multiple posts show that this has been a request for a long time without any action by Square and waiting for a solution is not an option.

HI, the mulch is donation based? So this determines the price for the checkout.

Address. Add a text box under Modifiers. Under Modifier settings must check box Make Required

Donations. Would need to add different amounts but would be a drop down selection for customer.

$5 Donation

$10 Donation

etc

These would allow at checkout.

Mulch is a fixed price and the spreading is donation based. I am already using the modifier for them to tell us where they want the mulch stacked if they are not getting it spread.

Hey, @troop6treasurer - Per your settings it looked like you almost had it. You have set up everything correctly on your Mulch Items such as asking for a delivery address and details on where the customer would like the mulch stacked. However, the donation amount can't be added to the same transaction. This has to be created as a separate item, but I can see how it doesn’t work for you since it cant be charged under one transaction.

Thanks but if you look at the site, you see the effort will be over in 6 weeks.
