How to charge sales tax in two states

I have my home state taxes set up perfect but now how do I add a state that I need to charge sale tax in? i.e Kansas, I have my tax account number for Kansas since I already made a sale but how to charge taxes on future sales.

I specifically need to add another state sales tax.
By following the page directions you posted, I can add a sales tax to an item for ALL my customers not only those in a specific state.
It needs to be county variable

How can I do that?

Ah I see.

If you're looking to add these taxes to your Dashboard, then adding it to the items would be your only option.

The other option would be if you're wishing to add the tax to your Online Store for the specific state. Go to your Online Store > Settings > Taxes > add Tax rate.

Ok, I figured it out!! Yes you need to go to Online store > settings> taxes but then you need to in check the box that states “automatically calculate taxes” this box will make it so it only charges where your business address is located. When you uncheck that box it will allow you to check individual states!!
