Can I use my iMAC to install and run The Square for Restaurants POS system ?

I have an iMac 21.5-inch Retina (Late 2015) Core i5 3.1GHz - HDD 1 TB - 8GB

I am also planning to use a regular iPAD Air as a second display to take orders and also the Square Terminal for mobile payments.

Hi there! Just wanted to let you know that you can use Bump KDS on your iMac to see the orders. https://square.bumpkds.com

This will allow you to take the orders on the Square Terminal and see the orders on your iMac.

Just wanted to hop in to answer the other part of your question here, @ems7521.
You’ll be able to manage and edit the backend (menu, POS design, etc) via your Square Dashboard using your iMac.

However, you cannot download the Square Point of Sale app - or any other Square apps, like Square for Restaurants - to an iMac. These mobile apps are intended for use on mobile devices, such as phones and tablets. I hope this helps!
