Automatically update Google Sheet with item sales?

I would like to find a way to get each sale/donation automatically added to a Google Sheet which is organized by item. IFTTT and email updates seem to tell us whenever a transaction happens and its amount, but not the item. I can download transactions as a detailed CSV and import them manually, but what I'd really like is for this to all happen without my intervention, so that the total amounts for each item are always current. Is this possible?

Context which is unlikely to matter, but may: I'm on a Mac, and what I'm using Square for mostly is taking donations for teacher appreciation purchases for each of the four buildings in our school district. Each building has its own committee, and they'd like to be able to check how much they have to spend whenever the issue arises. I'm a perpetual IT dilettante, with the relatively rapid acquisition of shallow competence with the easy stuff that suggests. It occurs to me that Automator might be able to log in to Square, download the CSV, and update a Google Sheet. Maybe that's my best option?

Hi @rinelk great question and amazing that you consider integrating with Square. I think for your use case the Zapier or BumpKDS can be a better fit.

I believe you could automate this with Integromat. There is a similar pre-made template to give you an idea of what Integromat works like. Now, of course, the template deals with refunds but you can build your own automation tailored to exactly what you need. You can check out Integromat's Square integration, to see what the options are.
