I had already looked there, and unfortunately cannot find compatibility specific to Stand model numbers.

Did you ever got a response on this? I just bought that stand and bought a new ipad that square website said it was compatible and it wasn't. So now i need to purchase the right one but can't find anywhere how to know which one is compatible.

Hey there @burgerjoint1982

The Square Stand S089 is a discontinued model. However, this particular Stand is compatible with the following iPad models:

6th Generation iPad, 9.7” screen
5th Generation iPad, 9.7” screen
iPad Pro 9.7”
iPad Air 2
iPad Air 1

Newer iPads are compatible with the Square Stand that has the CS142 sequence in their model or Serial Number.
