I am trying to figure out how to use the subscription service to provide a specific quantity of services, for example, 2 or 4 chiropractic visits a month that the software tracks so that client is charged extra after their initial visits are used up.

Hi there @Cheirpa - it sounds like you may be looking for functionality that doesn't currently exist with Square, but let's dig in a bit to make sure we're on the same page. It sounds like you want clients to be able to purchase a set quantity of services using a Square Online Checkout link, having clients select Monthly or Weekly etc as the recurring option. This is possible!

The next part is where it gets murky. It sounds like you want the system to automatically tally up visits and match them to the prepaid subscription, then automatically charge a card on file for additional visits. If this is what you're asking, this would be considered a feature request, as you would need to manually charge clients for visits purchased outside of the prepaid visits.

My name is Dan I've worked in point of sale and payments for 7+ years and developed a software to help retail businesses leverage subscriptions. It's called Submatic (https://www.submatic.io/).

We have an integration with Square that automates discounts and redemptions based on the rules that you configure. For example if a subscription includes 4 visit per month, our software tracks that and communicates the info with Square so that you don't have to track anything manually.
