I don't believe this would be possible, but I can check with the team just in case, @Goldrush4you.

For context - why would you want to send an order to your KDS before a customer pays for the order?

We are a drive thru only and when we get a few cars in line we cant make their stuff because it wont show on screen.

Ah, this definitely makes sense. Thanks for providing that extra context for us. Drive-through only would indeed require a more flexible option here.

@Goldrush4you I may be jumping in here so please excuse me if I am wrong. Do you use open tickets? I would try enabling open tickets and I use it a couple different ways. With the Square KDS there are a couple limitations when splitting tickets. But with open tickets if a customer has a large order, I will ring in the first couple items --->save ticket ---Enter Name ---> and the ticket will be sent to kitchen. From here you have 2 choices...start a new ticket and add next items rinse and repeat. At the end you bring up the tickets..edit..and merge them back into 1 ticket for payment. Or you can bring the first saved ticket back up and add the next few items and hit save again. Repeat this process for 1 nice clean ticket with multiple kitchen tickets under the same name.

Try this and see if this will work for you. I use FreshKDS, but the square KDS is an awesome product.
