AU:

1.6% for each contactless payment, inserted chip card, or swiped magstripe card through Square Terminal and Square Register.
1.6% for each transaction when you connect Square Terminal with Virtual Terminal.
1.9% for each contactless payment, inserted chip card, or swiped magstripe card through Square Reader and Square Stand.
2.2% for each manually entered payment through the Square Point of Sale app.
2.2% for each Square Invoice and Square Appointments paid securely online.
2.2% for each payment through the Square eCommerce API.
2.2% for each Virtual Terminal payment.

CA:

Your fee will be 2.65% of the total transaction amount for any of the following payment types:

Your fee will be $0.10 per transaction for the following payment type:

Interac

Your fee will be 3.4% + 15¢ of the total transaction amount for any of the following payment types:

Your fee will be 2.9% + 30¢ of the total transaction amount for any of the following payment types:

You won’t pay any fees for the following payment type:

Cash, Cheques and Other Tender

The higher fee for manually entered transactions is due to a greater risk involved with these payments, as neither the payment card nor the buyer have to be present for the payment to occur.
