    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/607646"&gt;@Trendy_Maverick&lt;/a&gt;. &amp;nbsp;I’m assuming in my reply that you mean the Square Contactless Reader. &amp;nbsp;I’ve not heard that any older devices are no longer compatible. &amp;nbsp;Since you don’t say what messages you are getting when you try to connect, I’m wondering if maybe all you need to do is factory-reset your device? &amp;nbsp;The screen shot below &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5673-square-contactless-and-chip-card-reader-troubleshooting" target="_self"&gt;from this help document&lt;/A&gt; tells you how to do that.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hopefully that helps. &amp;nbsp;If it doesn’t you’ll need to get on the phone with the &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/contact?panel=FAB456B04971&amp;amp;skip_unit_select=true" target="_self"&gt;Support Team&lt;/A&gt; to try to resolve this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Good luck!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="IMG_4419.png" style="width: 999px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.squareup.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/37484i74A0EA6AA97DAF97/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="IMG_4419.png" alt="IMG_4419.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;i just started back up with my business. It has been many years since i have used square. io have a reader that i cant seem to connect. Are the older generation square readers no longer compatible to be connected?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
