We are considering purchasing a Square Stand for our iPad that will run Square Retail. We need to use iPad the audio jack for our amplifier. Is the audio jack in the Square Stand fully functional or does it only work for the mag stripe reader?

Hi @DandA_BV. According to Square’s answer to another seller here, It seems it would work fine unless you use a splitter and plug in the magstripe reader. Then the audio would drop out.

You could also look at getting a Bluetooth to Rca adapter. Play the music and send it to the Bluetooth receiver that then connects to your stereo.

I have used a Bluetooth speaker with my Square Stand and have had no issues with it disconnecting like you would have if you needed the headphone port.
