We are unfortunately moving from Square for Retail to another POS system.

How do we export all Gift Card information to a CSV or excel sheet?

Hi @GDSupport. A few years ago I had to do this very thing. I thought I’d found a better deal than Square somewhere else and needed this information. I was wrong about that better deal, but I learned a few things that I hope will help you with your gift card information.

There is a gift card report at Dashboard -> Reports -> Gift Cards. When you go there, you will see an Export button in the upper right corner. Click on that and select “Detail CSV” and download that. It looks like the included screen shot. The column “PAN Suffix” contains the last 4 digits of all of the cards you have ever issued. The column “Current outstanding Amount” is the balance left on each card. I sorted my file on the PAN Suffix column, added a few blank redemption notes columns, and printed that. Then when customers came in with a Square gift card I’d look it up, note the redemption, and honor the card for whatever amount applied. It worked for me and no one lost their card values because of my switch.

I know of nothing in Square that will give you any more information than this, but I think this should give you what you need.
