    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/773078"&gt;@JohnOfATL&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think what happens is that certain card types might release the "available funds" from that card.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;When this happens, I believe you are correct, and you have to restart the tranaction.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If it does happen, I would suggest remembering what that amount was, and then start a split payment with that payment amount and that payment type.&amp;nbsp; You should then be able to go through and complete the payment with a different payment type (assuming that they have enough funds on the 2nd payment type to cover it).&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Make sense?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hoep this helps some.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Split Payment Decline Issue</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello community!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I run a liquor store in Atlanta and there’s something I noticed on declined card payments. Whenever someone’s card declines and I click the cancel button, sometimes the payment will split for a random amount. I’m not sure if that’s the current balance on their card or if it’s just a glitch but it happens quite often and it becomes some what of a hassle when it’s a split payment because I have to cancel the whole transaction.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone run into this issue or at least have a understanding as to why there’s a random amount that will split when declines on some transactions?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
