https://community.squareup.com/t5/Payments-Troubleshooting/How-do-you-process-refunds-to-gift-cards/m-p/848802#M67933 <P>Hi everyone, was hoping for some advice around refunding to gift cards.&nbsp;</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>The issue appears when customers either</P> <P>1. split a payment with the remaining balance on a gift card and credit card</P> <P>or</P> <P>2. pay with a gift card, using it all, then throw out that gift card</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>When I find the transaction and go to refund them on the POS, unless I'm missing it, the only option appears to be to refund the original form of payment (a gift card + credit card OR just that gift card). The gift card since has been thrown away so I can't refund that, and it won't allow me to put the full amount on a credit card or a new gift card.</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>Has anyone run into this?
