If I am at a market and take a credit card payment but can't print out a receipt what do I tell the client

@excvator Welcome to the community. On your customers bank statement it will show your business name with SQ at the beginning, for instance this is how ours appear. SQ KORIES KLOSET - (the purchase amount will show up here) .

If you have a holding company or parent company listed in Square and operate under a DBA it could appear differently. for instance your parent company listed with Square is ABC Garage LLC. , but you operate with the DBA as Joe's Garage. The statement will show up as ABC Garage LLC, instead of Joe's Garage. If that makes sense.
