Orders that are AUTHORIZED but not CAPTURED

I'm seeing hundreds of orders (roughly 60-70% of my orders taken at the Square stand iPad) that come in as credit card orders and show up in my All Orders page with Status = Active. For the past number of weeks, they show up then go away, so there's maybe 5-10 at a time in there, I assume they drop off when the transaction completes.

But since Monday the 14th, they don't appear to be completing. I'm looking at an order from 7/14 at 7:07pm that says "Awaiting payment" - Interestingly, this one is a gift card payment, too, so that's extra weird. There's a credit card purchase from 7/17 at 6:15am that says authorized, has a receipt, but still says "Awaiting Payment"

Over 99 orders are showing under Active, and I'm worried they are expiring and disappearing without me getting the payments I'm supposed to get.

What is going on?

My Square Dashboard iOS app is also showing different numbers - my home screen widget shows one number, and when I tap on it to load the report, it shows the "real" number - right now it's $420.02 on the widget and $1117.12 on the report - I think the difference is the authorized but not captured payments, but that's a BIG gap
