I am planning to get additional Square Reader, and I was wondering if the new Iphone Tap functionality makes the reader redundant? Additionally, if someone has a Square Reader Promo code, can you please share it?

You can just use your iPhone if it is a supported device. I use it frequently. Having a reader isn't a bad idea to have anyway though in case something happens, but the built-in tap can read the tap cards.

I could see getting the Square reader as I still see a Mix of Tap and Dip (Chip) cards. You can not dip a chip card on an Iphone. So this would be something you need to look at with your current sales. How many Dip sales do you have?
