thread Invalid Location but Not in Payments Troubleshooting

Hello,

I do markets at different locations, and a number of locations that were fine last year are now giving me an "invalid location" message. That means I can't take card payments. (And I'm not the only vendor at these events having this problem)

I live in a border town, but I am NOT selling or physically located across the border. I'm still in Canada when selling.

I have already tried every troubleshooting method I can find, and Square is still refusing to recognize that I'm in Canada. Every other location-using service on my phone recognizes I'm in Canada, but not Square. My phone doesn't even have roaming enabled.

I can't just switch to wi-fi, since most of these venues don't provide wi-fi. Using another phone's mobile hotspot doesn't work either.

Is there any way I can change a setting on my account so it will keep my location in Canada and won't ping me as being across a whole river in another country?

This is becoming a real problem. I spent over an hour troubleshooting it at the first event this occurred at, but nothing works and I'm losing sales because of it.
