Can promo codes be applied to subscription items?

We run a subscription based business and are excited about the new subscription system with square that links directly to items. However, we frequently offer promo codes/coupons to our customers to use for their first purchase. Is there an option for applying a discount/promo code at checkout for our customers when they are signing up for a subscription? Thanks!

Hey @Robertwallace,

I'm so glad to hear you're excited for this new feature! You can actually offer "inbuilt" discounts for item subscriptions to reward customers for ordering an item on repeat, e.g a 15% discount for monthly discounts. Promo codes cannot be applied at the moment, however. Get started with item subscriptions here.

PLEASE allow us to add coupons to the subscriptions options, or to allow delivery/ pickup options to subscriptions. I will have to remain with Shopify until you can offer this because I have many customers who subscribe with either local free delivery or in-store pickup.
