Each invoice can only be paid once though.

For an invoice if the customer is tax exempt, just remove the tax for that person prior to sending them the invoice.

If you are using Square Plus for invoices, you can send a batch invoice up to 100 customers with each customer receiving their own individual invoice. If you are not, you can still easily duplicate the invoice and just swap out the customer information each time.

The customers can pay for their invoice right through the invoice if they choose to (manually run transactions are more expensive). They can also pay via ACH which is only 1% v 3.x%.

The issue could be resolved if Square would recognize customers as Tax Exempt

I teach art classes. I have a customer who is tax exempt. I need to set up a payment link for this customer so each guest can pay for their class separately. How do I make one payment link tax exempt. I have spent over an hour now trying to figure it out with my issue not solved. I don’t want to turn off tax exempt for all payment links, only one. I figured out how to create an invoice that is tax exempt. Can that invoice be paid 10 times or just once? If 10 times, then I just send an invoice because it is set up for tax exempt. Does each customer have to call me so I can manually charge as tax exempt?
