Customers Want Zelle added to payment options

My customers want to know when Square will add zelle payments as an option.

Having the ability to have zelle added to the payment options will save not only myself but other businesses a lot of time as it stands now I have to wait for my bank to inform me it has received a zelle payment then i have to look up the right invoice to mark it as paid in square.

For one off invoices this is fine but when you have hundreds or thousands of potential customers, this process is very unrealistic and time consuming.

I use Zelle a decent amount myself, but I truly don't see Square adding it as a payment option (just guessing, and I've been wrong before). More so because they give the customer the payment option of attaching their bank via Plaid for ACH transfers. Not to mention, that would also seem to conflict with CashApp. Again I've been wrong before but I just don't see this happening anytime soon.

It would be nice for sure, I don't see it as something that would happen though. First, it is a competitor to Square in the sense of payment acceptance. Second, neither would want to share their proprietary info on payment acceptance with the other so that it could be integrated.
Accepting the Zelle payment and then manually marking the invoice as paid, as you would do with a check, is the best free option. There are ways you could write api calls, and maybe other apps that work on Square's platform, as mentioned above, that could do it.
