So now, as the economy is tanking, and small businesses are struggling, you are raising your prices? Unconscionable. Shame on you. Greed is a mental illness.

The text here in your email is a LIE. Access lower fees? All the fees are going up!

Square is showing us that we do not matter, just the greed of the company. Square sucks.

Were we sent any previous emails about these new plans at all? Right now I have Square for Restaurants and the Plus plan for Square Online. Switching to the new Square Premium plan would be way more expensive.

Hi @Baruch, we understand your frustration about these changes, especially given the challenges many small businesses are facing right now.

You're right that our current online free and premium processing fees are increasing, but our current online plus plan processing fee isn't changing.

We're also introducing two new options that provide access to lower processing fees. With Square Plus and Square Premium, you can get 2.9% + 30¢ for online transactions, which is lower than the increased online free processing fee. These new plans also bundle multiple business tools into a single subscription. We encourage you to check out the Square Plus and Premium plans to see if they might work better for your business.

Your new plan includes an additional fee you failed to mention in your comment.

I find Square these days to be disingenuous, dishonest with us, and I am appalled. Your actions are harmful to small businesses which are PEOPLE. You just made my income go down a bit, during a recession with nazis taking over the government. I can only see Square as complicit in the destruction of the country. Shame on you for being an apologist for this unconscionable immoral behavior.

Following this thread as I have the same concerns and frustrations. I am a sole practitioner and my busiest months are around $6k. There is no way I can just easily absorb a jump to $49 or $149 a month. I chose Square when I opened because it was convenient and had the best value and features for my practice. I am almost ready to bail and find another software.
