Add Gift Card Balance From Browser

I have lots of NIL deals with NCAA athletes. They get a specific amount on their gift cards each month so I need to be able to re-up their balance at the start of each month but I won't have their cards present. I also don't want to have to type in each card number manually on the POS tablet, that would be insane! How can I just add $$ to their gift cards on the squareup.com site??

When it comes to gift cards, you currently have two main options:

You can check the balance of an existing card.
If you’re using eGift Cards, you can also reload them (add more value) without needing to issue a new one.

You can do this either from your Square app or by logging into your online Square Dashboard, just follow the steps in the online guides I've linked above.

No, I need to add value to plastic cards either in bulk or at least one at a time from my computer. I have way too many to be typing numbers in manually on an iPad

At this time, the ability to reload physical gift cards directly from the Square Dashboard isn’t supported. If you need to check a card’s balance, the easiest way is to swipe it at your Point of Sale, rather than typing in the full card number.

That said, our Gift Cards team can manually reload physical gift cards on the backend for you. This is typically used for one-off cases, but if you need to make a quick bulk adjustment, it’s worth reaching out to our Support Team to explore that option.
