Adding invoice #s to point of sale transaction?

I use the Point of Sale to take orders for products at conventions. Is there anyway I can add an invoice number to the Point of Sale transaction so I can track the order from payment to shipping?

Hello @Clergy_Image, just so I have this clear are you looking to take a payment on Square Point of Sale and then send your customer an Invoice through Square? And you want to attach the invoice number to the Point of Sale Transaction?

If so, you would have to create the Square Invoice first so you could have the number ready. Then at check out you would tap on the Current Sale option at the top and add a note to the transaction. But by doing this you would be billing your customer twice.
