I'm sharing some general information here about how to identify a Square POS charge on a bank statement or credit card statement.

When you make a purchase from a Square seller, your bank statement shows the characters SQ*, the seller’s name or business name and the business type. Charges can appear on your statement in a few different ways, especially if the business hasn’t listed their name.

The best way to locate this seller is to check your receipt. If you didn’t receive a receipt, you can look up your payment receipt from this page.

Just to add - if there’s a debit on your bank account statement for a transaction that you don’t recognise you can find out more about this payment from Square’s receipt lookup website.
