Square charging $0.07

Hi everyone! I JUST received my Square and just set it up. I have had 3 customers use it and so far everything seems great - except, when it's not being used, it adds $$ to the next purchase.

For example (because I'm sure this doesn't make sense).

Customer 1: Say their order is $5. I type in $5, they pay $5. Easy peasy.

Customer 2: The Square already says $0.07 on it. That's weird. I add $5 even, the total comes to $5.07. Clear the screen, type in $5. They pay $5, easy peasy.

Customer 3: Now their total is $0.49 on the square. So when I add the $5, it's now $5.49.

I don't understand what's going on. The total is currently at $0.07 on the screen. I have cleared it and made sure NO ONE touches the screen and after the next purchase, it's back at $0.07. Help please! I don't get it.

So sorry for the trouble you're having with the reader not resetting to $0.00.

I would recommend contacting our Customer Success Team, right away. They will be able to take a deeper dive in your account & file a ticket with our engineers- if needed.
