Show/Hide Modifier Option Missing

There was an option to show/hide modifiers on checkout but now its missing. I do not want modifiers to pop up automatically when an item is added to the ticket. How is this done now?

@MicSchill - Just to clarify, are you trying to hide modifiers through the POS app or Square Online?

POS app. I figured it out. There is an option in Item settings called "Automatically Add Item to Check". Its not clear what this does as there is no Check and the link to Learn More goes nowhere specific. There is Checkout, there is Tickets, but there is no Check.

Ahh, sounds like you're referring to Modifier progressions using the Square for Restaurants app? (Check in restaurant terms usually means Tickets).

Once a modifier is enabled, you can customize the modifier progressions. The Automatically Add Item to Check feature allows the the item to be added after choosing required modifiers. If this setting is disabled, the item will stay on the screen until selecting Add to Check.

Modifiers will also appear on the screen in an Auto-Progression and print in the same order on the ticket.
