Which Square reader is compatible with my device?

I checked our device compatibility page and found that your Google Pixel 6 will be compatible with the Contactless + Chip Reader. This reader allows you to accept chip cards, contactless (NFC) cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. This reader connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to your device to accept payments quickly.

@Welmby - A "physical" reader? Maybe you mean a reader that is meant to plug into your device? If so, it sounds like you have the Square Magstripe reader.

Headset and Lightning are the only connection types available for the Square Reader for Magstripe at this time. If your device does not have a built-in port, some devices include an adapter that enables you to connect 3.5mm audio accessories, like your favorite headphones or the Square Reader, to the device’s main port (like a USB-C port).
