I want to skip the numbered sequence.

Good morning,

Very soon I am going to have a bad number as my invoice numbers. Personally I don't care but I have customers who do. I want to skip over 000666. I know I can manually change the sequence. If I manually change the sequence after invoice 000665 so that the next invoice is 000667 will it resume counting afterwards (000668, 000669)?

Absolutely, when you create your next Square Invoice, it will continue counting from the highest invoice number used so far. For instance, if you change the number of a past invoice to a higher value, it won't affect the numbers of invoices you've already created. The sequential numbering only picks up from the last highest value when you hit the "Create" button for a new invoice.
