Open items inside a Category

Hi everyone - we want to do a popup store in addition to our main store and not have to input every items BUT we need to attribute our sales to specific categories - is it possible to process open amounts and have the charges attributed to a category or how could we set up to track that? Thanks!

Hi @CPGallery - I see this is your first post in the Seller Community so I'd like to officially welcome you! 🎉👏

Unfortunately, you won't be able to categorize a sale without having items that have been assigned to a category first. You could add a note to the sale but that might get tricky when it's time to review your reports.

Is there a reason why you don't want to use items but do want to use categories?

Hi I think I actually figured this out. I created an 'open' item for each of our sellers inside their category and I think when you add this as a sale item you can specify the price and after the fact, you will be able to see a report and total of what was sold in that category. That's my assumption anyway.
