How Do I connect my Dymo 550 to my Square Register?

Hello Everyone,

We have a square register, and a Dymo 550. I see there is new functionality to print labels from the register but I can't figure it out.

We pay for retail+, I've connected the printer to the usb hub from the register, gone into the printer settings, added a new profile, but the printer is not coming up in the printer list. The only printer showing is our receipt printer.

The FAQ says it will automatically show up once connected. I must be missing a step here, do I need to install a driver on the register?

Any help would be amazing.

Hi @WRVG - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community.

I checked our accessories compatibility page and did not see any Dymo printers listed there. I believe this is why you're unable to see the printer on your Point of Sale. To set up sticky label printing, you will need either a Star Micronics TSP654IISK or Star Micronics TSP654SK.

I am also having trouble connecting the Dymo Labelwriter 550 to Square Register. It is listed as a compatible printer from Square at this url:
